When starting with making your own baby food use the KISS principle (Keep It Simple Silly). Choose a single fruit or vegetable, steam it until it is soft and then puree it. The puree can be sectioned in ice cube trays and frozen to store for future use.
After single fruits and vegetables you can start to mix and match your blends. Some recent combinations I made include:
- Blueberry, Peach, Greek Yogurt and Oatmeal
- Acorn Squash, Spinach, Chicken and Apple
- Acorn Squash, Apple, Carrot and Oatmeal
Don’t be afraid to get creative and experiment with different flavors to see what your baby likes!
