Personal Trainer and Fitness Practitioner Releases Book Featuring Full-Body Workouts For Travelers
Ellen Miller, personal trainer and creator of the Isobreathing program, has released Planes, Trains & Exercise: Your Fitness Guide to Travel, which features full-body workouts for travelers, whether they are riding on planes or trains, waiting in long lines, or staying in hotel rooms.
Dallas, TX: Ellen Miller got the idea for Planes, Trains & Exercise: Your Fitness Guide to Travel while on vacation. “I was on a very long plane flight, and I’m not the kind of person who can sit still for hours on end,” Miller said. “So I started stretching and doing exercises.” During that same vacation, she and her husband rode on a train. Miller told her husband to get out his camera and take pictures of her doing the stretches and exercises. Planes, Trains & Exercise: Your Fitness Guide to Travel was born. On the plane flight home, Miller started writing the book, the only book on the market to include workouts that can be performed throughout all phases of the travel experience.
For 25 years, Ellen Miller has been helping people achieve their fitness goals, and in 2002, she designed the program Isobreathing, which she describes as “the kindergarten of exercise, since it’s back to basics: body positioning and breathing.” Planes, Trains & Exercise: Your Fitness Guide to Travel builds on this program. “Everybody has good intentions to work out when they travel for business or vacation, but they seldom get to the gym,” Miller explained. “So my book gives them exercises they can do while they’re traveling.” Whether people are riding on planes or trains, waiting in lines or staying in hotel rooms, Miller’s book describes and illustrates full-body workouts, both stretching and strengthening exercises, which can be done while traveling. “Nobody knew I was doing the exercises,” Miller said. “And that’s what I loved.” The exercises can be done by people of all heights and weights.
In addition to Planes, Trains & Exercise: Your Fitness Guide to Travel, Ellen Miller is also the author of Multitasking: Your Fitness for Life Program. She loves to help improve people’s lives by introducing them to attainable lifestyle changes. Miller is certified through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) as a fitness practitioner and personal trainer.
